The rolling landscape around Glastonbury Tor is the perfect setting for this rural escape.  Designed and re-modelled for a London client to escape to the country.  The barn conversion with ancillary new-build guest accommodation is set in generous grounds.  The barn itself was reconfigured to provide a larger galleried hall and stair with a new porch to create a central axis linking to the pool.   The new guest wing, on the site of an old Pottery, is clad in blackened timber with large glazing to frame the view and harks back to the materials of the original farm buildings.
